To commemorate our 100th year of business, I am excited to share TEAM’s inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report. As a global company, we recognize our results are influenced by the strong engagement of our people and the way we conduct our daily business; and are fully reinforced by our strategies and core values.
Being a service partner of choice, TEAM cannot only demonstrate execution excellence, but we must operate in a manner that promotes and supports smart business practices that are environmentally sustainable, socially conscious and aligned with our strong corporate governance practices. Our commitment to operating in an environmentally sustainable way is strategic to TEAM’s future success, crucial to our continued growth, and in the best interests of our stakeholders.

At TEAM, we have a long history of innovation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide a safe work environment for our employees and clients. Starting with our humble beginnings in 1920, when we initially developed a leak sealing process, our focus has been assisting companies to operate in a safe and eco-friendly manner. Over the last 100 years, we have made many industry-leading innovations, including being the first company to perform leak detection and repair inspection work – and then later by expanding our services to be one of the first companies to offer optical gas imaging for leak detection. Today, our track record of innovation continues to evolve as we develop digitally-enabled operations and remote visual inspection systems to further expand our capabilities.
Our intention for this report is to provide greater insight into the priorities and key activities that comprise our approach to environmental and social consciousness at TEAM, which is evidenced by our commitment towards good corporate citizenship. We have identified the following four principles as part of our sustainability program:
We know there is a strong link between corporate responsibility and our ability to deliver exceptional value to the industries we serve.
We know there is a strong link between corporate responsibility and our ability to deliver exceptional value to the industries we serve. Through TEAM’s leadership, we have demonstrated to our employees and clients around the globe that this behavior is embedded in all aspects of our day-to-day business, including the processes and procedures we follow in our operations, the ethical policies we practice and enforce in our workplace, and the support we provide to the communities where we operate.
2020 has been a testament to our corporate responsibility as we have had to adjust the way we operate as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As we describe further in this report, TEAM moved rapidly to install new measures to protect our employees and clients, including remote work policies and field safety procedures. Additionally, we developed new leadership training measures to effectively communicate in this environment and to look for signs of undue stress or anxiety in our employees.
In closing, our Environmental, Social and Governance strategy ensures that we have positioned our resources to make tangible, positive differences in the world. Through TEAM’s ESG program, we strive to promote and support best practices that are environmentally sustainable, socially conscious, and aligned with strong corporate governance practices.
We look forward to the advancement of this program and the opportunity to unlock even greater value for TEAM and for all its stakeholders.
